THE CONTEST

    Ya see,  we have this little song that we like to play at the office,  it's not the coolest song,  in fact it's quite weird,  but we like it and we're sure you will too, that is,  until you try to remix it with a Beastie Boys song.  I'm no expert,  but I'm sure it's going to be a nightmare.   Since only one person voluntarily remixed it when I asked for it on the front page I decided a contest was in order.

INSTRUCTIONS

Remix THIS SONG, or the  NEW SECOND VERSON! or THIRD VERSION! 
(All 3 are the same song, just different performances)
with any Beastie Boys song, please try and include as much of  the song I provided as you can.
All remixes must have the following naming structure:  Original Beasties Song Name_Remix Name_DJName.mp3
E-Mail the remix HERE with the subject of REMIX CONTEST

RULES

Anyone can enter.
All entries must be received by 6-20-2006
By participating you allow me to keep your contest mixes up on the site after the contest.
Multiple entries ARE allowed but remember Quality is better than Quantity.
Please NO 40 megabyte super ultra mega jumbo mixes. as Gmail has a 10mb limit per e-mail.
Winners will be notified by 6-30-2006 and will have to provide a mailing address.
You must have an address I can ship to,  If you live in a cave, you're out of luck, unless of course your cave has an address!.
 No complaining if you didn't win.

J U D G I N G

    After investigating many options for the judging, the only one that I've found that is totally hack-proof is to NOT do online voting, Yes I know about the online poll places, and I know about installing polls on the site, I know they say that people will only be able to vote once, they screen by I.P. and use Cookies etc etc...  All of these can be easily hacked.  I'm not saying I don't trust you guys, but come on, it's a free iPod.

     I've decided to take the voting OFFLINE,  I have a few friends who are more than happy to be judges,  they are not in the scene, and they don't know any of you. Their vote will be final,  I will NOT be involved in the judging,  just burning off the cd's, handing them the disks and then back to the grunt work around here..

If you do not like the judging arrangement, or you think you might be mad if you don't win, please do not enter.
I want this to be a fun contest,  If all goes well I will try to have a couple throughout the year.  (No Promises) If it goes badly, it will be a long while before I dig into my pocket ( or ashtray ) for prizes again. Have fun, and.......
